Give me a real-world example
Think of an ice cube in a warm room — it melts and the water spreads everywhere. That spread from ordered to disordered is entropy increasing. You can't un-melt the ice on its own, because the universe prefers higher entropy states.
Why can't we reverse it?
The Second Law says total entropy of an isolated system never decreases. Reversing it locally (like your fridge) requires doing work — which creates more entropy elsewhere.
